who would like to barter or trade their items with other people or
businesses. Because it is extremely difficult to verify the backgrounds of
the individuals or businesses who trade via our website, Barterswitch.com urges
that individuals and businesses who use our services exercise appropriate
caution when dealing with unknown people or businesses. Because
Barterswitch.com is not involved in the actual transaction between
traders, Barterswitch.com has no control over the quality, safety or legality of
the items advertised, the accuracy of the listings, or the ability of either
trader to trade their prospective items. We cannot guarantee that a trader will
actually complete a transaction. Barterswitch.com is not responsible for
the safety of its members.
4.) If any ad listed with Barterswitch.com does not appear in the
Barterswitch.com database for the specified length of time the ad was placed for
any reason, Barterswitch.com will re-list the ad for its appropriate period
given proper receipt that the ad was placed. Barterswitch.com does not
give refunds for any reason and will only provide a credit to be used towards
purchasing another Barterswitch.com ad.
5.) No adult or offensive material of any kind is permitted to be listed or traded
on Barterswitch.com. Although Barterswitch.com will make every effort to remove
such material from its databases upon notification that such items exit,
Barterswitch.com does not guarantee nor is responsible for the removal of such
material.
6.) User agrees that Barterswitch.com is not responsible for any damage
to the user that arises from computer malfunction, website malfunction,
programming malfunction, credit card processing malfunction, server
malfunction, computer hacking, or the like.
7.) User agrees to hold Barterswitch.com harmless for any loss of
possession, financial or otherwise, pertaining to the use of the
Barterswitch.com website.
8.) Barterswitch.com reserves the right to revoke the membership of any
member who violates these Terms of Use and shall have the right to revoke the
membership status of any member, for any reason, at any time.
9.) Barterswitch.com reserves the right to use any information that is
provided by the user for promotional activities or any purpose that
Barterswitch.com feels appropriate.
10.) User acknowledges that the items they give or receive as barter may be
subject to federal, state or local income or sales taxes. User is
responsible for determining if such taxes pertain to their situations and for
payment of such taxes if applicable. Barterswitch.com shall not be
responsible for notifying users of such taxes, collecting such taxes on behalf
or users, or remitting such taxes to the appropriate
authorities.
